Kinetic Typography

I couldn't resist to select a Beyoncé song for my first kinetic type animation. The great thing about "Countdown" (besides the flawless vocals) is that the lyrics are numerically clever. Experimenting with numbers and words allowed me to create an energetic animation that I hope the Queen herself would enjoy. This animation was also featured in the XXVC Student Exhibition in the Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art at the University of Oklahoma.

SOYLENT GREEN

Title Sequence

Soylent Green is a 1973 science fiction film directed by Richard Fleischer. The story is set in New York City, year 2022, and the world is suffering from depleted resources, overpopulation and poverty. The population must rely on processed food rations including "soylent green." My solution for a new title sequence was to use music with a darker tone and imagery of anatomical sketches. The title sequence is a visual interpretation of the phrase "You are what you eat."
