XXVC EXHIBITION

Brand & Identity

In the 2013-2014 academic year, the Visual Communication program in the School of Art & Art History celebrated its 25th anniversary in conjunction with the school's 100th Annual Student Art Exhibition. The Visual Communication senior class was given the opportunity to design an environmental experience within the exhibition to commemorate the program's success. After an extensive competition, the final exhibition design was a creative collaboration between two creative teams. I was chosen to create and direct the brand of the show. My solution for the exhibition's logo mark was a playful, multi-layered concept designed with Roman numerals. XXV (25) references the 25th anniversary of the Visual Communication program. C (100) recognizes the 100th student exhibition, and "VC" is emphasized to show the acronym for Visual Communication. The mark became interchangeable throughout the show's promotional collateral including posters and postcards. Within the space, the logo was the primary graphic for the exhibit entrance.
